This may be, but I am convinced that the modernization of the SSPX will continue. Yesterday, in our chapel, following the *new* rubrics- we knelt for a very short time before Holy Communion- the rest spent standing. I began to think that even if +Fellay is not able to convince Rome to accept us! in a formal agreement now, due to this modernization in a few years time we may just be Rome! Therefore, nothing to negotiate- done deal.
Is this +Fellay's strategy, to slowly chip away at what makes us different from the NO so that Rome will accept us?

  • Yes, the "official" deal has nothing to do with whether the sell-out can be said to have happened.

The sellout has already happened, and is ongoing.
