  • He was the prior of the Houston SSPX chapel.

Many of you already know what a good priest he is, and I don't want to say too much.

I wonder where he's being transferred to... probably to some third world country.

We certainly wouldn't be trading if I had any say in the matter.

  • Apparently he was ordained in 1997.

    From True Restoration:
I had even once stolen him for 10 minutes at the 1997 ordination of Fr. Frank Kurtz, and walked up and down a hallway with him in Winona as he explained what was meant by “intrinsically evil” and what the SSPX’s official position was (this was in the years before Bishop Fellay mandated that even bishops were not to speak without his explicit permission on such matters).  I was 18 years old.

  • Apparently he's not too sympathetic to the Resistance.

The United States District Superior - Fr. Arnaud Rostand - along with other SSPX districts have pledged their obedience to follow Bp. Fellay, who is the Superior General of the SSPX, if he accepts the offer of reintegration from the Holy See. If there is some kind of a split, this should not affect local communities anywhere in the world unless the community is controlled by a bishop or priest who breaks with the SSPX. This will be an internal matter for the SSPX to work out for themselves, maybe with the help of Rome. In short, St. Mary's Assumption in St. Louis will be fine. The pastor - Fr. Frank Kurtz - has said so publicly.

  • Fr. Zendejas, on the other hand, is a bit older and more experienced:

From Bishop Williamson's March 1991 letter:

Pray for the Society's two young priests in Columbia, both in their mid-twenties, Fr. Martinez ordained one year ago, Fr. Zendejas (the Superior!) ordained two years ago, neither of them Columbians, both several hours by aeroplane from the next closest Society priest, between them carrying two priories on their shoulders and the defence of the Faith in a whole country collapsing under the Revolution! Ordinarily speaking, it makes no sense at all, but there they are, and that is the Society. May Our Lady protect them and reward them!

  • Where is Fr. Zendejas being transferred to? I was on three retreats in Ridgefield, CT while he was stationed there. He was legendary in his ability to preach the Ignatian Exercises, heavy Spanish accent and all. Great memories and thoughts for reflecting and contemplation will be with me always from my time spent with him on these retreats.

  • Apparently Fr. McDonld is being transferred to England and assigned dish duty, due to an innocuous remark about the Society.  Fr. Zendejas is going somewhere in France to head a chapel of mostly seniors, no families.
