  • Is that a mozzetta that Fr. Roberts is wearing? A mozzetta has jurisdictional significance.

That would be the least of my concerns.

  • A trad publication, Catholic Candle once of a sort of Resistance position, now home alone. The big draw is its listing of traditional priests which seems  more reliable than others I've found, but the editor has his pre-occupations. Novus Ordo orders are automatically invalid, which is not controversial, but not an SSPX position, for it might include early NO ordinations by bishops of traditional orders, but also priests with sede orders (ordained by a sede bishop), whether ex SSPX, ie SSPV or SGG, Thuc, Duarte Costa or Old Catholic, are treated as worthless. The formula 'so-called Fr' is shared by Conciliar and sede priests. A person has to be wary. Bp Williamson heads a 'compromise group' which according to the editor 'does not give grace.' Others might know more.

The Catholic Scandle -- the s is silent.

It's a worthless publication to-be-avoided. The fact they're dogmatic home-aloner says it all. They are in error, and as such are dangerous to the Faith. They provide nothing you can't get in other less-dangerous venues. They went off the rails, just like Fr. Pfeiffer and at about the same time.

There is no reason to have recourse to the Catholic Scandle.

You waited until 1/2/2022 to post about Fr. Roberts being at an SSPX chapel on 1/1/2021?

Why do I get the feeling this is "New Year Syndrome" where one mistakenly writes the last year for several days into a new year, out of old habit.

If you weren't going to be careful about the year, you should have just said "Jan 1".

Did you really mean 2021, or 2022?

Mine too. It just struck me because that rather bold. But then again none are bolder than diabolical narcissists.

  • Is Fr. Marshall Roberts there as a Mass attendee or does he have some collaboration with the SSPX now?
