But publishers don't necessarily publish what the public wants but what they want the public to read.

If you or I were to try to publish a first-class book, we would be hard pressed to find anyone to publish it and promote it. Yet Greeley is prolific, published and promoted. It's not just because there are a lot of modernists out there that want it, but that there is an agenda to be pushed.

He was pro-Vatican II and glad it happened.  What does he care if Christ established His Church?
