  • Has Fr. Brown been Validly ordained?
What is his position of 'resistance'?
    Who does their Confirmations?

    Thanks.

I think Fr Brown is of the Thuc line. I believe that Confirmations at his chapel are administered by a Traditional Catholic bishop from Mexico. His position is similar to that of the SSPX - Recognize but resist....
For the other poster I add that just like SSPX priests, he is celibate - not married. You may ask him further questions at:

  • I was told by a trad priest that Fr Brown is of Thuc line but not a sede, and that he was married.

Is/was he married, but given over to celibacy?

    op here:
According to your above quote, he was married. So what?
Spreading rumors about priests is a very grave matter.

No he is not married. That was a lie put out on the net by someone trying to spike the Traditionalist movement. I believe he was supposed to have married a nun ....
    lies.

  • It was reported that he was married whilst functioning as a priest, and that his little flock knew about it.

I have heard of at least TWO "Father Ronald Browns" and one of them WAS married and tried to get traditional Catholics to go to his Mass, so both posters could be right. The last name is very common and I know a lot people with it who are confused with the wrong people all the time.

When I mailed Fr Ron Brown ( who posted a commentary on the TIA website) of Illinois a year or so to ask him about this, he replied that it was not true.

Look at what you're saying here for a minute...

Even if what you convey is true, which I doubt, you have no business spreading this priests hypothetical history around on the web.

The questions I asked in the op were very specific for a reason, and they have been answered. Unless you have something to add/correct concerning the original questions, please keep your rumors and gossip to yourself.
    Thanks.

If this is correct it could explain things a bit. The Fr Ron Brown who was, and maybe still is, married while functioning as a priest in IL is reportedly  the same one who moderated a yahoo group a few years back. He avoided answering when questioned if he was married.
