He is largely to blame for the division of the Resistance, because of the following actions:
1) Refused to adhere to Bishop Williamson's prohibition against founding an absentee seminary (2012-2013);
2) Publicly began opposing Bishop Williamson's call for a loose confederation of Resistance priests in favor of a traditional congregation to replace the SSPX (2013);
3) Publicly opposed Bishop Williamson's endorsement of the "yellow-light" position (2012-2013);
4) Criticized Bishop Williamson for not consecrating bishops (2012-2014);
5) Claims nobody can receive grace from NOM Communions;
6) Claims it is communicatio in sacris to attend SSPX Masses (unless Fr. Chazal is in town, in which case it is apparently better to go sin at the SSPX chapel );
7) Upon the foundation of the congregation in 2016 (SAJM under Bishop Faure), he claimed that that which he had called for since 2012 was illegally founded ;
8 Says his followers cannot attend the Masses of any of the 4 bishops (or anyone allied to them), which more or less means they can only go to his (or Fr. Hewko's) Masses, whenever he can get around to visiting them (sometimes only 1x/year)
In my opinion, +BW has made some mistakes (who hasn't?), but the above is factual and undeniable, and the consequences are that the Resistance is scattered and divided.
A lot of your points are pretty weak as arguments against Fr. Pfeiffer. Some of them sound like matters of opinion, and I can hear a lot of CathInfo members shouting at the screen, "I don't have a problem with that!" on many of your numbered points.
You make it sound like a squabble between +Williamson and Fr. Pfeiffer, or that Fr. Pfeiffer's primary sin is opposing +Williamson. That is simply not true. The yellow-light position, for example, is just common sense. It isn't copyright Bishop Williamson, nor is it some kind of personal or unique doctrine that he teaches. Furthermore, I remember +Williamson saying about Fr. Pfeiffer's Mass center strategy, "There is more than one way to skin a cat" or something to that effect. Bp Zendejas route (serving fewer chapels, with more regularity) or Fr. Pfeiffer's strategy (serving the whole US and beyond, with some places getting Mass only once a year or less) is a matter of prudence, strategy, administration, opinion, etc.
There is no dogma involved on this point, and I bet +Williamson would be the first to admit this. He basically has, in so many words. So this issue is not the source of any real criticism of Fr. Pfeiffer.What about Fr. Pfeiffer's flag-planting rhetoric? He believes he has some kind of missionary jurisdiction in any place he has planted his feet or said a Rosary. He treats other priests as LITERAL schismatics if they aren't on good terms with Boston, KY, etc. It makes you wonder if he thinks he's the pope.
What about his public endorsement of one Ambrose Moran, a known fraud, and his subsequent withdrawal of said support with NO explanation?
What about his support of a laicized homo priest, Fr. Tetherow, directing his parishioners to him when Frs. Pfeiffer/Hewko are not around (but
They Shalt Not go to Mass with Bishop Zendejas! Perish the thought!)
What about Pablo (this is a whole topic in itself), and his scandalous, lame excuse for a seminary? Keeping in mind that at least one large Trad Catholic family has actually broken up thanks to Pablo's machinations.
Fr. Pfeiffer promotes Home Alone-ism almost like a religion. In his infamous November 1, 2014 sermon, he promoted and admired a woman who slept with a rosary under her pillow instead of going to Mass. That's borderline superstition! As if the physical Rosary itself would do anything for her -- unconnected from any actual devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The issue is not devotion to the Rosary itself (both the prayers and the beads), but being quick to use that as a replacement for Mass. Oh, and let's not forget his favorite topic, the Japanese "hidden Christians". Again, good on them for keeping the Faith (sorta) but I bet they had a heck of a catechism class to rectify all of their ignorance after being without a priest for 2 centuries. I'm sure it wasn't good for their spiritual lives. Home Alone is a last resort, not something you pull out for any and every reason, such as "Fr. Pfeiffer can't say Mass for a while, and Bishop Zendejas is not approved by Fr. Pfeiffer".
His operation has all the hallmarks of a cult. Who is a good guy/bad guy according to the Cult even changes from year to year! And yet the people are always on board, nimble on their feet as they shift directions at a moment's notice from Dear Leader. Today, Oceania is our glorious ally, worth making sacrifices for. Tomorrow, we were always at war with Oceania (the evil bastards!). I'm making a
1984 reference for those who aren't familiar.
