some cant stay away, another just wont go.

The poster Helen50 on IA says that the chapel (Dun Laoghaire?) is in "shambles". What's going on? Is Fr Morgan suffering from Fellayitis? There was talk that he spearheaded the Resistance at the General Chapter of July 2012. He is a reasonable enough person to be spoken to about these issues.

  • Coming to the original post of this thread, Fr Daniel Couture was in Mumbai, India on March 16th and 17th. His first visit to the Mass centers there in over 5 years I am told. If I quote him correctly, he warned the faithful about an impending visit to that city by Fr Francois Chazal, of the Resistance, and he told the faithful that they should even avoid inviting Fr Chazal to their homes for a social visit as that priest would then turn around and ask if he could say Mass at their place.

That's understandable. What would you expect if someone else comes and tries to lure the faithful away? More so now that there is mention of Fr. Pfeiffer 'red-lighting' attendance at SSPX chapels completely. Tradition is small enough as it is, and now it is going to break further into smaller groups. I'm sad at how things have become.

  • Indeed, it is a tragidy, everyone suffers when shepherds desert the flock, on this, the anniversary of the death of ABL, may true shepherds hear his words anew, and return to the fold.

Mumbai has two Mass centers with a total crowd of about 60, many of whom are unaware of what's going on. While Frs Chazal and Pfeiffer had their favorites in Mumbai, they were not popular with everyone, so personal invitations to visit homes may be quite scarce. More than that, at one time Fr Chazal's favorites ( who were main players at the old priory) alleged that Fr Joe engineered the ouster of Fr Chazal as Prior in order that his brother Fr Tim fill in the slot! So, Fr Chazal will be welcomed at the orphanage that housed the now defunct priory, while Fr Joe will not!!!. In fact some months ago Fr Joe's India Pablo came on a scouting/healing mission to the old priory which obviously wasn't a success!

To summarize: Fr Chazal will most likely find accommodation and a place to say Mass at the orphanage that housed the old priory, but Fr Joe wont have any place to go there!

Yes of course dear! But this is supposed to be a crisis in the Church not a crisis in  priestly etiquette among Traditional priests. Or is it? The bane of the mission in India has been these plastic St Francis Xaviers cropping up interminably!

What about Baptism? Were not the "good fathers" baptized?

They should try bleach or something! Here they are ordained as priests and have all spiritual aids available like monthly recollections, annual retreats, spiritual conferences. Many of the Trad priests are quick to slag off Novus Ordo ones. Alas! Physician heal thyself!

  • Perhaps more prayer and penance for the priests rather than constant bitching. Today (Maundy Thursday) of all days!

This is a discussion forum not a priest-worshipping one. IN ASIA DISTRICT WORD ( NOT BITCHING) IS OUT THAT ANOTHER PRIESTLY DISASTER IS WAITING TO HAPPEN!
