Will the resistance be there. :surprised:

Hard to know as Fr Chazal's itinerary does not contain specifics! Maybe Fr Laisney is going there, rather than Fr Onoda, because there's something afoot? Does anybody know? Fr Laisney has been in fine form with his sermons lately.

Fr Laisney's sermons are always top notch.

You gotta big kidding? 'top notch'???? During his sermon, three-quaters of the faithfuls 'fast asleep' and you mention 'top-notch'.  :laugh1: :laugh2: :faint:

Hahahahaha!!!! Resistance guys can sniff out the Accordistas!!!!

Seriously, many dont appreciate his sermons because they cant follow his English. Those who can, say these are very good. Anyways - the cruel poeple say of Singapore: One is always travelling, the other is always sleeping, and third is always talking!

I can't follow his English only for the Epistle and Gospel (if I don't have my missal with me) since he has the tendency to read the Epistle and Gospel in English as if he is chanting it.

But seriously, when it comes to his sermon, it is indeed very good. Easy to understand and to the point...and always quoting something from St Thomas' Summa. Unlike some other priests who goes long-winded about virtues every week.

He relishes a theological discussion putting forward the Society's point of view. I feel that he will seek out Fr Chazal for "debate". Thomas Aquinas versus Sun Tsu!

Thomas Aquinas 'Summa' versus Sun Tzu 'The Art of War'? Well, just to recap Fr. Chazal's "War On", Fr. Laisney TRIED FOR 3 DAYS in the Philippines, interrogating/sweet-talk/threatening, Fr. Chazal to obey +Fellay thru Fr. Couture. 3 DAYS! Now who is stronger? In Faith, Moral, Courage?? And you mentioned 'debate'?   Oh come on. The resistance if here to stay.

Thanks for this info - didn't know this. Just Thought Fr Laisney had only written something trying to contradict Fr Pfeiffer. Personally, I think Fr L should be poisted in Menzingen/France not in our district.

  • So Fr Couture says that Frs JPfeiffer & Chazal cannot use the chapels of the SSPX. What is the current situation concerning Asia District? These two priests, either together or separately having been coming to India since October 2012 but neither has actually arrived there.  Some doubt that they will obtain visas for the country. One priest, not an Accordista in thinking, dismissed the possibility of at least one of the duo coming, saying: He only goes where he gets his comforts (my paraphrase).
    Does anyone know?

Sure. The priest said that Fr X would not come to India because he only goes where he gets his comforts ( meaning, if he came he would really have to rough it out in the absence of official SSPX facilities, and this is not his style).

"The priest said....." Perhaps you could ask 'the priest' whether he 'the priest' had any time when he was in India (???) did visit  the leper community? Well I am sure Fr X did actually help in the  community (if we have the same Fr X in mind), but I doubt  fr couture, fr laisney or fr salvador did. Correct me if I am wrong. Can't imagine them helping in the leper community in India. :pop: so 'to rough out in the absence of official SSPX facilities' is ?????????

Hmmm! I get what you are saying! I wont name the FrX, but I'm sure if he knew what "my" priest was saying, he may well have retorted: Now look who's talking!!!
Concerning the 3 Musketeers of Singapore, I pass!

Ireland or Sri Lanka? Do you know that when there was that Tsunami in Sri Lanka, Fr Couture mused whether one of the reasons could have been the pedofilia going on there. Near the airport was a large hoarding warning foreign tourists of the dire consequences of indulging in sex with local children. So it was obvious that tourists were coming in to take advantage of the poverty to indulge in such things. Yet, Fr DC wondered if this activity brought about the calamity. Not a word about chastisement needed for the Western countries whence these tourists came from!
