Title: Foundress of Contemplative Dominicans Dies
Post by: Änσnymσus on February 01, 2019, 04:00:21 PM: Mother Marie Emmanuelle, Superior of the Contemplative Dominican Sisters of Avrillé, died at 1:25 p.m. on Sunday, January 27.

Founder of the convent of the contemplative nuns of Avrillé with the unfailing help and support of the Dominican fathers of Avrillé, she followed the line of Bishop Lefebvre thanks to the fidelity of these same Fathers. But the brutal and shameful departure of some fathers followed by the crisis of fraternity and a new foundation difficult to manage in the Dordogne undoubtedly overcame his health and did not allow him to fully follow the choice of the Fathers of Aprillé in this final battle of the Faith.

His funeral took place on Friday, February 1 at 9:50 am, Monastery of the Immaculate, La Grange, 24140 Montagnac-la-Crempse.

Let us pray for the rest and salvation of his soul.
