'Secrets kept

Almost thirteen years ago, the Peeters denounced for the first time the abuses of Frederick Abbet. Their boy Jerome (fictitious name), who then frequents a boarding school of the SSPX in Brussels, makes a confession to them after a mother calls the family to be vigilant. The priest ventured about ten times in his room to lower his pajamas and .etc...he confided.

The priest was dismissed by the school management, and the parents of two other victims joined them in making formal accusations. However, Abbet was acquitted in 2015 for lack of evidence.

The others throw in the towel, but not the Peeters, who eventually win in the Court of Appeal thanks to important information kept secret by the SSPX at first instance: Abbé Abbet had been the subject of complaints of touching a boy in Switzerland in 2006.

He even suffered an “canonical trial” in the fraternity, during which the organism acquitted him, since the testimony of a child was considered inadmissible under canon law. However, measures have been .etc.

You think it's by someone who did this once, a kind of deranged, and you're led to believe that. You lose your case and you actually realize that he's a recidivist... that we put in a school. So you think there's something wrong, but maybe it's a mistake they made. And then, in fact, you realize that no, these are things that they do all the time.
