  • I try to please the good God and I believe I may be in a state of grace. But I look around me and nearly every one around me seems like they are ignoring the good God and rushing towards hell. I pray every day and I hope that I may save my soul but I fear that if I do I will go to heaven alone. I pray for those around me but as far as I know they are not converting. Maybe my prayers are not that powerful because of my sinfulness. I don't see many other people around me trying to do God's will and I feel alone. Alone with God and the Blessed Mother and the saints I am devoted to so I am not unhappy. But I feel alone.

  • St. Pio says "Pray, hope and don't worry".
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

  • Nadir is right.  In the bible, Christ tells His apostles what to expect. Christ was human as well as divine.  He too felt much alone in the garden.  He said, pray for you may be put to the test.  And He knew Peter would deny Him.  Matthew 24, Christ tells the apostles about the abomination desolation and go to Prophet Daniel, read Chapter 12.

All these things will happen. And tells us what to do in times of tribulation.  The devil  is having his time and his time is growing short.  God will have His day, and peace will follow for a time.

  • If you're looking for friends pray and reach out and try to find some! I could use some more in this life too and I'm sure others share the sentiments!

  • You are not alone!

Granted, we may be scattered across the earth and far in between...

Yet, there are many of us who continually cry out to God to have mercy on mankind and beg Him to bring an end to this era of immorality and chaos.

From time to time all of us feel like we are fighting alone, and feel as if the world is caving in upon us...

Imagine how Lot felt when he and his family lived in the territory of Sodom and Gomorra.  Imagine how the early Christian felt when paganism was the common religion of the people.

It is our duty and privilege to belong to the True Faith, and it is by perseverance and good example that we shall obtain the conversion of others through the grace of God and assistance of the angels and saints.

So, keep fighting the good fight and may God bless you!

Please know that you are in our prayers, and if you ever just need someone to talk to, well, that is why there are traditional Catholic forums like this one!  :-)

P.S.  Are you able to attend Mass where you currently live?  If not, perhaps moving to a place where you are more able to access the Sacraments and meet more traditional Catholics would help you feel not as depressed.  :-)

I am able to attend the true Mass so I have access to the sacraments, thank God. But it is a small chapel and there are so few of us. So except on Sunday it is like living in Sodom. I worry for the salvation of everyone around me outside of my chapel and see little hope for them. I am not depressed because I have hope that I myself may be saved, but what about all the others? What chance do all of the people have who do not receive the sacraments (nearly everyone else)? I mean if we really believe that outside the Church there is no salvation and that the Novus Ordo has defected and is no longer the true Church, then how many people will be saved? Certainly less than one percent of us. So even though I have hope for myself because I believe I have made good confessions, I feel like the little Fatima children who saw all those souls falling into hell like snowflakes and hardly anyone at all is saved.

  • OP, we have to expect things to be like this because we have been told this from the beginning with the Sermon an the Mount.

How narrow is the gate and strait is the way that leads to salvation, and few there are who find it.(Matthew 7:14)

People do have choices and many chose to live, laugh and be happy in this world and completely ignore their loving Creator. Just  keep praying and hoping and doing your duty of your state in life. Nothing more is expected of you. Hand it over into God's Hands. God bless you.

Well, you are basically in the same boat as me then...  (Except that I have been blessed to be able to go to a medium sized traditional Catholic parish and am the choir director there.)

My family members are all novus ordo, and because of our farm we get every sort of person coming out here from every part of the world.  It is discouraging at times to see how far gone some of the people are, and how, even compared to those who claim to be "conservative Catholics" I seem radical...

I try to keep in mind the message of Our Lady of Fatima that, "When there seems no hope, then My Immaculate Heart shall triumph."

So, I try to tell myself that it must be getting close to being at that point, and that the sooner it gets worse the sooner it will finally get better...

We must pray and do penance; begging God to bring about the restoration of the Catholic Church.

Keep fighting the good fight and may God bless you!

  • When God wants to lead someone into a closer union with Himself, He will take away the consolations which they had had before.
When you are feeling alone it is because He wants you to fill that loneliness with Himself.

My opinion only: All that ever mattered was your relationship to God. Other people are very secondary. If your relationship with God is strong, you will forget your perceived "need" for other people in your life. Other people merely serve as mirrors, to reflect our words and ideas back onto ourselves, because we forgot who we are and why we are here. Silence is, and always has been, the best intimacy with other people and the world.

  • I see so much sin around me and so few traditional Catholics that it makes me wonder how many people will be saved. And I come to the conclusion that in these modern times very few will be saved. Very few.

In the age when Our Blessed Lord came into the world to redeem mankind, there were very few Jєωs left who still practiced all of the commandments...

Anyone who has a good heart and desires the truth, Our Lord will surely help them save their souls.  The problem is that there are so many who care more for worldly things and the opinions of others.

That being said, there are still good people out there though!  Don't give up hope, but persevere and be one of the saints of the latter days that where foretold in many prophecies...  :-)

  • Its the tough situations in life that make people bitter and turn away from God.There are mainly two kinds of people in this world - people who either learn from the situation and be strong or people who become bitter and think that all hope is lost. Most people always fail to believe that help will always be given by God if you ask for it.People who realize that will be more happier and be a good, faithful Christian.
