  • Just dropping in to say the spelling of his name in the thread title is incorrect.
    It's Wiest, not Weist.
    Michael Wiest.

  • Please post any new miracles from Fr. Wiest
Apparently his biggest miracle is being able to live in your head rent free, for years now.

Weren't we subjected to enough of this obsession with the other 10 threads about Wiest?
    Let's summarize:
    1. Has a questionable background, which he is reticent to reveal.
    2. May be a Priest as he claims to have been ordained by an Old Catholic.

Conclusion: Stay away except maybe in immediate danger of death and no better alternatives.

It's almost like Epiphany is back (Apologies to Epiphany if you are not he.)

  • The title of Monsigneur is purely an honorific - a title conferred by the pope on a high-ranking cleric.

    This sounds like good advice.
The late Fr Perez obtained his " monsignorship " from a bishop in Kerala. South India. The late Fr Nicholas Gruner would also find bishops from that part of the world to "incardinate" him in their dioceses and also to populate his "Peace" Conferences. ( Along with their relatives and friends? ) I think these bishops composed that old time hit song: "Working for the Yankee dollar"

    https://cathinfo.com/anonymous-posts-allowed/more-weirdness-from-fr-michael-wiest-at-olhc/

This person who claims to be a Catholic priest has a Buddhist altar in his home, complete with Buddhist altar items: a lotus flower, white candles and a mirror to communicate with ancestors (on another thread here on CI). In yesterday’s sermon he misquotes Our Blessed Mother.

    What she actually said:
    https://fatima.org/news-views/a-night-illumined-by-an-unknown-light/

On July 13, 1917, after showing the three shepherd children a vision of hell, Our Lady then confided to them the second part of the Secret of Fatima:
“if people do not cease offending God, a worse one will break out during the reign of Pius XI. When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know that this is the great sign given you by God that He is about to punish the world for its sins, by means of war, famine, and persecutions against the Church and of the Holy Father . . .

In the context of saying he saw the "sun dancing in the sky," “Fr.” Wiest claims that what Our Lady of Fatima said in the apparition is:
“When you see light in the sky, you will know God’s wrath is coming.” NOT
He continued “Our Lady predicted the same thing again.” NOT
(He said this happened on a feast day of Our Lady and the same day the Taliban took over Afghanistan.)
He said “Christians in Assyria have been slaughters for 5000 years.” WHAAAT?
See it for yourself, starting at 32:53

Very sad that "Msgr." Perez will not deal with this.

  • Why on earth are you dredging up 2 year old stuff that's already been dealt with ??  Why are you wasting time with it?  Everyone has moved on -- it's time that you do too.

I agree. Wiest, Weist, whatever is gone. It's over. Mnsgr. Perez had very bad judgment in letting him in. The people who ran the chapel also had very bad judgment.

  • That's a good place for him.  Now we don't have to worry that him comes to our chapel.
