  • This is Fr. Perez's chapel who now claims to be a monsignor.  Interesting that this priest doesn't appear anywhere on the parish website.

I would think it wise to stay away from this chapel.

    Find another chapel:  http://www.ecclesia.luxvera.org/Directory-USA.html#CA

The title of Monsigneur is purely an honorific - a title conferred by the pope on a high-ranking cleric.

    This sounds like good advice.
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

  • Is this him?

In his sermon he mentions a "young man recently ordained" whose first mass he attended and then went to supper at the young man's family's house.  Is he is referring to "fr" Croisette, "ordained" by "bp" pfeiffer recently?

Did Msgr Perez allow this "young man" to say his "first mass" at OLHC?

  • Thank you, but no. He has said he is 48 and he has said he is 58. He has said he had cancer at 18 and "had to drop out of (his) last year of law school." Whaaat? He is the one with the Buddhist altar in his home. He has claimed that the Buddha (with the flowers and the candles and the mirror) is a $150,000 family heirloom and that his privacy was invaded by the chapel member who took the photo. You

Yes that's him, and it's Wiest, not Weist. I don't know about Croisette.

No, it was in Boston. I found this.

I may be wrong, but don't priests do several "first" masses?
Be careful of Croisette, who has distributed Holy Communion at OLHC when he was a "deacon".
Here is the budda in Wests house, from another thread:

Thank you for this; at 33:50 on the Mass video, "Father" Wiest says, as pointed out by an earlier poster, that he went to the first Mass of a young priest and afterward to dinner at his parents' home. Yikes! So we have:
    1. Father Perez, who claims to be a Monsignor and is not.
    2. "Father" Wiest who has no record of his ordination, does not have a drivers' license, does not show up on the internet, isnt' sure iif his age is 48 or 58, claims he had testicular cancer at 18 and had to drop out of his "last year of law school," and has a Buddhist altar in his home.
    3. Will OLHC next see a new young "priest" who was "ordained" by Father Pfieffer, who claims to be a bishop, by a "bishop" who has no record of being made a bishop.

  • Has anyone ever heard of a trad priest named Father Michael Weist? He is new at our independent chapel and does not exist online.
After the Fr. Coletti debacle there at OLHC, you have good reason to be concerned.

Wow seems like Independent chapels are as problematic as Protestant sects.

The child molester? Fr. Perez never vetted him either.

I am aware of three independent Catholic Churches in my area. One was a small sede chapel run by a Thuc Bishop. The Bishop was arrested for pedophilia and the Judge ordered him to stop saying public Masses. One was a non-sede independent chapel (possibly Thuc line, or possibly another obscure Catholic line) run by a Bishop with a few priests. The Bishop was arrested for pedophilia and is now dead. They went on with the Chapel and found another obscure Bishop to replace the pedophile. The third is independent, not sure if they are sede or not, and they have an old pre-Vatican II priest who says Mass for them. I have not heard of any scandals from them. So in my area, two of the three independent Catholic Churches were run by pedophile Bishops.

One was convicted, the other died before the trial, but he was recorded admitting his guilt.
