  • Father Daniel Couture, Superior of the Asian District of the Society of Saint Pius X (FSSPX / SSPX), sent an appeal to his priests and faithful, which inclluded this:

"It is certain that the Pope is imbued with liberal principles. Cardinal Daniélou himself and his friend Jean Guitton, both affirm this. This deplorable influence seems sufficient to explain the unfortunate incoherence and contradictions coming from the Pope and his circle. However, if that forbids us to follow him when he speaks or acts in an erroneous manner, it must not lead to disrespect or contempt, for he sits on the throne of Peter. We must pray for him, so that he teaches the Truth and works exclusively towards re-establishing the reign of Our Lord."

    So...

Let us all be little popes and tell the big pope when he is wrong. Let the little popes lead the big pope when they think it is warranted. Let the little popes follow the big pope when they want if they think he is right on any particular issue. Let the little popes who know their faith decide when big pope is in error. What is the need for big pope if the little popes are the ones who decides when they will follow or when they will tell big pope what he should be doing? What sort of big pope is that? What about the guarantee that the Church and big pope can't teach errors?

  • Surprisingly he did not include his favorite phrase: God loveth a cheerful giver!

DC is no mere little pope. He is a little big pope. And he has mood swings as noticed even by Fr John Narai and the late Bishop Manat.  Lucky this is an Anonymous Forum else we'd all be excommunicated.

Can you please elaborate with facts and not expect everyone here to be able to read your mind and know what you are talking about?

  • Can anyone explain the very strange case of the Chinese lady, Edwina-Martina?  She works very closely with Fr. Couture, travels with him, interprets for him.  She is also reportedly very close to Bishop Fellay.

Allegedly, she converted to the Catholic Faith while living at the SSPX Seminary in Winona.  She lives part of the time in Minnesota and part of the time in Singapore.  She has a very calculating and cold personality, except when in the presence of SSPX priests.  Some people allege that she is a spy.  Does anyone know of her?

    No.
However, if we replace the words "Fr. Couture" with "Fr. N. Pfluger", and "lady" with "man", your description matches Mr. Krah.

    Telling, isn't it?

Whoa, wait a minute, that's way too many allegations in a single post. This is calumny if not backed up with proof.

Seem to be just two allegations by the poster:
    1. She converted to the Catholic Faith while living at the SSPX Seminary in Winona.
    2. Some people allege that she is a spy

The other bits are presented as facts.

CALUMNY: Slang in some Asian countries for untaxed money. Calu=black.

  • What a mess we are in! Fr Couture has managed to stay as Asia boss for fifteen years by being on the right side of BpFellay. Whatever I personally think of him I doubt he will want to support the deal as he knows the crisis too well, and he is very fond of AbpLefebvre.
On other pages of this forum Fr Marc Vernoy is mentioned. What a turnaround he seems to have gone through! From a staunch anti-Concialiarist to a leading Accordista. Ditto for Fr Benoit Wailliez. Both these priests were in our Asia District. Fr Vernoy could not take Fr Couture's style of doing things and had one shouting match too many with DC and was kicked out of the district.
May our agony not be prolonged much longer!
