This is pretty horrifying. In Baton Rouge the other night, a white family stopped in a black part of town for gas. This is what happened next:

[BRPD Cpl. Tommy] Stubbs said a man wearing a pink shirt was in line trying to pay for gas when Donald Dic kerson, 41, started making fun of him, leading to an argument.

“The defendant (Dic kerson) approached the white male victim,” the police report stated.

It went on to read, “the defendant told him he was in the wrong neighborhood and he was not going to make it out.” The victim said that’s when he “was punched and knocked to the ground.”

At this time, his wife got out of the car and ran to help her husband. The victim said, “he continued to struggle with the defendant and was eventually knocked unconscious, which later he awoke in the hospital.”

His wife told police, “after running to help her husband, she remembers falling to the ground and (being) knocked unconscious.”

According to a close family friend, that’s when the couple’s teenage daughter got out of the car to check on her parents and, “observed a female punch her mother in the face, when her mother then fell to the concrete, hitting her head on the surface.”

The daughter was also punched in the face.

“There were only three suspects but there were multiple people in the parking lot,” said Stubbs.

Of those three, Dic kerson was arrested and charged with second-degree battery. The other two suspects, Devin Bessye, 24, and Ashley Simmons, 22, were released on site after police wrote them each a summons for simple battery.

When police were questioned about why all three defendants were not charged with felony second degree battery, Stubbs responded, “Because you have to have disfigurement for a second-degree battery charge, and only one victim had disfigurement and he was attacked by the one suspect that we booked.”

However, Louisiana law defines second-degree battery as “bodily injury which involves unconsciousness, extreme physical pain or protracted and obvious disfigurement.”

The victim suffered “a broken eye socket, broken nose, and several lacerations to the face,” and his wife was knocked unconscious.

“I feel that’s racist,” said [witness Keisha] Henderson.

Here’s what happens in a case like this. There will be no marches against racist thuggery, hate crimes, or anything like that. This will not become an issue locally. The white people assumption will be that there is nothing effective to be done about things like this, except to do the best one can to reduce the chances one has to interact at all with the black underclass.

All kidding aside, the white guy who decided to take offense at the black guy making fun of him should have known better.  You are in a dangerous ghetto.

This incident was probably a bunch of hop-heads looking to smash someone.  The level of mindless violence in these ghettos is really shocking.  They just seem to lose control of themselves.

Back before 1960 there was no such thing as a dangerous neighborhood
in America. Violent crime was very rare and usually between family
members. Gangs were not a problem. no such thing as a drug problem
either.
Why the change. Today we are no longer a Christian country
believing that we are accountable before God for our actions.
Liberalism, socialism and communism are to blame.  These
philosophies permeates every sectors of society including the
churches.   This is why things are going to get worse and you
will never hear it on the mass media because those that are in
charge want it that way.

If you are unaccustomed to big city neighborhoods, don't go there without a tour guide.  The thugs should all have been charged with felony assault regardless of race.  But I agree that the man was unwise to stay and argue when he was clearly outnumbered, in alien territory, and without means of self-defense.  I live in a big city and have never had any trouble in black neighborhoods.  (I'm white.)  In the 28 years I've lived in the city, I have had small encounters three times.  One concerned an Asian man, another an Hispanic, the most serious, a white man.  All three incidents occured in "good" neighborhoods.  The only one serious enough to report to the police occured  in my own neighborhood in the middle of the afternoon on a busy commercial block.  

There is no such thing as 'racism'.
