The history presented in the Old Testament simply doesn't seem to have fit the "accepted timeline" and because of this, many historians dismiss the Old Testament as purely Jєωιѕн legend and myth. However, there is good evidence that the generally accepted date of the Exodus is actually off by about 200 to 250 years--which exactly matches what you wrote above and also makes the entire Old Testament timeline fit perfectly.
I don't have links because I didn't see this on the internet, but you might be able to do a little research and find docuмentaries and texts that explain why there may be an error in the current history books which were written to sew doubts about God and Christianity in the minds of the faithful. It is apparently doing a good job.
