Well, one thing that makes emigration seem better is the number of nuclear power plants, along with all of the missile silos and military bases in the U.S. and Canada. In the event of an all out nuclear war, or even an EMP attack against the electrical grid (because the power plants will start melting down if this happens) the entire continent will probably become a radioactive wasteland. One wonders if communist infiltrators in the government didn't deliberately have the obviously dangerous power plants built to achieve exactly this result. As far as I know there are very few if any such plants in Mexico and Costa Rica, don't know about Chile, it's something I'll have to find out. Not nearly so many military targets either. One thing that I'd not remembered until now about Mexico is the possibility that there will be massive troop concentrations there in the event of a war, Chinese and Latin American communist allies such as Cubans, Venezuelans &c. (the Russians will probably concentrate on Europe as far as occupation is concerned) I suppose it is best after all to go farther south, even if there were no doper gangs in Mexico.
