I do want people to associate flat earth with Catholicism because the two are related. The Church and scripture come as a package and neither of them lie. Knowing the Church and scripture are accurate in all senses, knowing earth is flat instead of it being a pagan globe is part of the reality of the faith and people have a right to know, at least so they are not carried along the pagan streams of conscience that lead them astray.

This is to remind the uneducated of Pope Gregory XIII and his great reform of the calendar, which assumes sun and moon circling the spherical earth, and not running in circles above a flat earth, while never going down below the horizon.

No, it doesn't. For two reasons. The person who made the picture could have been influenced by the pressure to believe earth is a globe and 2, because all of creation is pictured as a globe, with the firmament of heaven, the flat earth in the middle, and hell below.

Here we have several references to saints and scripture that earth is not a globe, but that the globe depicted the entirety of creation.

A possible non-literary but graphic indication that people in the Middle Ages believed that the Earth (or perhaps the world) was a sphere is the use of the orb (globus cruciger) in the regalia of many kingdoms and of the Holy Roman Empire. It is attested from the time of the Christian late-Roman emperor Theodosius II (423) throughout the Middle Ages; the Reichsapfel was used in 1191 at the coronation of emperor Henry VI. However the word 'orbis' means 'circle' and there is no record of a globe as a representation of the Earth since ancient times in the west till that of Martin Behaim in 1492. A word of advice from someone who's been on this earth for close to a half a century...

When someone "happens" to not do something, for no apparent reason -- there is often a very solid, necessary reason for it.

Don't give highly visible figures ("astronauts", etc.) a pass so quickly. If it seems they should do this or that, then your common sense is probably correct -- they should be doing this or that. Don't take NASA's lame excuses just because they're a high-profile, multi-billion dollar organization. That makes them less trustworthy, not more so.

I guess what I'm saying is:
Never attribute to stupidity what could be attributed to malice.

Yes, that's the EXACT OPPOSITE of the conventional, normie, "conservative" conventional wisdom. AND THEIR VERSION DOESN'T WORK.

Hanlon's razor is an adage or rule of thumb that states "never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

It's also A/B testing. The third angle is the old technique they used with the Moon landing and I think is a real object but not in space.

I keep watching this video According to the conventional knowledge of these things satellites/spacecraft move at tens of thousands of miles an hour. For that other camera angle how did they have a craft moving at the exact speed at a dangerously close distance just for cinematic effect? The more you think about the second, brief angle the more ridiculous it is.
