  • …carry concealed outside the home (yes, even at Mass)?

I know I am not the only one because I see other men "printing" through their shirts.

  • If you see me outside the house, except where prohibited, I am carrying (sometimes openly).

  • For various reasons, I carry only sporadically (Ruger LC9), usually if I am going to be out someplace after dark, such as Walmart or Waffle House to pick up food.  I keep it in the covered center well of my car, in a Sticky Holster (which I either use or not, depending on my preference at the moment), and carry it in my right front trouser pocket, or in an inner jacket pocket if I'm wearing a heavy jacket, such as the cheap bonded leather jacket I wear during cooler months.  If I am going to be parking my car outdoors overnight, I take my LC9 wherever I'm going to be.  It is loaded with seven JHP rounds, and I also keep another magazine with seven FMJ rounds, in case I decide to go to the range on the spur of the moment.  I am also going to start keeping one of my 22LR pistols in a range bag with ammo in the trunk, for the same reason --- I'll be out somewhere, and want to stop by the range for a little while, but all I have is my LC9.  Practicing with only 9mm can get pricey.  Renting a pistol is ever pricier, and you have to use their ammo.

Apparently everyone does not!  Do any of the ladies?

  • Some trouble is predictable (bad part of town, time of day, protests scheduled, etc.), but some trouble is unpredictable (increasing violence is the "good" part of town, lots of videos of daylight sneak attacks, unscheduled flash violence, utes, etc.), so I have been far more consistent in carrying (concealed). Yes, even at Mass.

  • It's just like a Knight's sword in the olden days. Maybe he just "concealed carried" a short-sword or dagger when he wanted to travel lighter. But remember: it's not like handguns were widely available, popular, or capable of what we have today. The potential threat was different.

And I got news for people -- at festivals, schools, Mass, etc. they did NOT have an area where you had to "check your sword". Swords would not have been confiscated unless you actually started brawling, misbehaving, or something. You would be in trouble for bad *behavior* in certain areas -- not just for the simple fact of "packing heat".

The whole "check your gun, this is a peaceful gathering, this is a gun-free zone" is a (((modern))) invention that we all accept as a fact of life -- even many of the good guys. Note the triple parentheses, I'm trying to tell you who was behind it, while keeping this thread in Anonymous.
