Does Non-Catholics giving blessing in church desecrate it?

Someone I know thinks Bishop Perez "desecrated" a church by asking non-Christian "faith leaders" to "bless" (e.g. hold out their arms over) the congregation. However, this is nowhere near what the Church means by desecration, and I'm trying to figure out if Perez actually violated canon law.

    Can anyone help?

  • The NO "mass" desecrates the church, the Eucharistic Ministers desecrate the church, women speakers desecrates the church, communion in the hand desecrates the church, Protestants giving blessings desecrates the church .

If this could in some way bring about their conversion to the Catholic Faith then so be it.
