Samuel Loeman of a very small forum, has had another highly emotional, subjective temper tantrum. I have not ever met a woman who is so emotional and subjective as him. He has moments of inspiration like his recent article but loses all credibility when he shuts down his website for the n'th time. It all seems to be over the 'community' his daughter joined and the eccentric 'Sister' Irene who has reinvented herself so many times that nobody can keep up. Just come over here and ask around Ireland as to what people and priests think of her. She has been renowned for many years. Even within the last year or so, she built her 'convent' without planning permission ?
Be honest, Sam, you criticize His Excellency, Bishop Williamson essentially because he will not support 'Sister' Irene but who in their right mind would ? Have you ever met a bishop who would approve a new community immediately, unless he were the founder of it?!!! Stop living in dreamland.
Perhaps she will reinvent herself again in a few years as a Franciscan or Dominican ?
Well said.
+Williamson was right to not support this unstable "sister".
It's sad to see someone with such talent, education, potential, and virtue BLINDED by personal concerns. It's actually scary, to be honest. If you could subtract this personal blindness, Samuel and I have a lot in common. He seems more unstable and impulsive than I, but other than that we were both in a (roughly) similar place spiritually, say 4 years ago. We are both family men. Both well-educated and fervent in the Faith, both willing to make sacrifices to keep the Faith in its purity, both trying to use our website talents to help the Faithful remnant. Both philosophers. The list goes on.
Talk about an Achilles' Heel! In this case, Samuel is obsessed with these sisters because his daughter wants to attend their convent. He is so personally biased and invested in this, it should be obvious to all.
I think it's scary because I have to ask myself: Am I one personal, emotional situation away from losing it all? I don't have any grown kids yet. What if someday one of them wants to pursue a vocation and Bp. Zendejas doesn't help them enough? Am I going to end up like Samuel? I'll have to pray and trust in God that I won't. I will also have to be on my guard and learn from Samuel's mistake here.
But for now, everyone should take Samuel's words about +Williamson with a huge grain of salt -- in fact, I would recommend a 50 lb salt lick.
