Well...you can always get Meals Ready to Eat at an Army/Navy surplus store. "MRE's".
If you're more into do-it-yourself, you can buy actual can-canners, for metal cans, not just jars. Those last longer and are more sturdy. A good dehydrator is "Excalibur" brand, for drying your own soup mixes, etc, then you can air-seal them. And there are ways to store vegs in metal drums, by removing the oxygen from the container, thus preventing oxidation.
