Title: cross-dressing in Phoenix

In view of the recent revelations at St. De… I mean… Holy Family Academy, I wonder if HFA is like Our Lady of Sorrows in having the girls cross-dress for the school plays.

Most schools are being used to brain wash children.  Keep your children away from theatre.  If young girls are going away to Sspx boarding schools and coming home worldly and immodest for Mass, something is wrong.

Warning.  Keep your children from plays and theatre.  Waste of time and leads to loss of souls.   Look at Hollywood.

Right, Catholics shouldn’t have any culture. Just raise our kids as dummies like the Amish do on the farm. Medieval Christendom had a wonderful theatrical tradition. It was Puritan Protestants who tried to ban theaters.

Jean Vianney would not give absolution to actors.  At one time only men acted.
How do these two things fit with Catholicism?

If no absolution it must be a sin.  If it's a sin what about those who watch?
Ssssoooooo no movies plays  no anything where we appear to be anything but what/who we are.

First you need to prove that. Second, even if true, he was only one priest

The comment about Jean Vianney was taken from the book on his life by Trochu who used ONLY sworn statements made for his canonization.
Yes he was only one priest but in the early 1800's I think priests were more in unity with the church and didn't make up sins on a whim.
This no absolution for actors is also mentioned in the autobiography of a Jesuit from the 1500's.  The book is called Hunted Priest.
