I know for a fact he is a man and has lived as a man in this place for all of his adult life. I know where he lives and that his actually lives with a woman who is is wife! He receives communion every week from a EM. The priest apparently does not know or notice. It is my understanding that the very fact of a man appearing at mass and receiving communion dressed as a woman is a PUBLIC MORTAL SIN.
How about you don't judge the man. Is it any of your business? You just stated that he lives with a woman who is his wife. So there is no sodomy element. There's not even an irregular living or living in sin element.
When a man has confused gender issues in 2013, he receives much bad advice and conflicting information. It's not outside the realm of possibility that this man is trying to do the right thing. How do you so quickly declare his actions to be a mortal sin? Which commandment is he breaking so flagrantly?
Some of you need to keep an open mind about things you have no direct experience of. Other people are forced to be open minded by having family members suffer these crosses. Just because it seems dirty or wrong, or the man seems messed-up, doesn't mean the man is hell-bound. God doesn't work that way.
It's not wrong to judge actions that people do. We don't know their heart, but we can judge their actions as right or wrong.
No we do not need to keep an open mind! That is nonsense from the world. He doesn't "seem" messed up, he is engaging in a perversion. It's not dirty?? It's a filthy perversion.
Yes it is our business!! We have an obligation to keep a clean atmosphere. Don't allow these immoral things to be shown in public. Children (or anyone else for that matter) should not be exposed to a "cross dresser!" We need standards of decency, not "open" minds, what garbage. I don't even like the title of this thread how it is.
We also have an obligation to admonish the sinner and instruct the ignorant. It does the man no good when we turn the other way.
