  • Has anyone here read much about Codreanu, although a schismatic, he seems to have ideas similar to those of General Franco & Dr. Salazar as far as the type of government he would have set up in Rumania is concerned. Sadly he was αssαssιnαtҽd by Jєωs with the complicity of the Rumanian king before he could accomplish this.

  • I'm a great admirer of Codreanu and make no apologies for it. As you rightly say, he wasn't Catholic but he is an example to us all. His ideas inspired many, who were searching, to become Catholic.

'The Prison Notes' by Codreanu is obligatory reading as far as I'm concerned. Reconquista Press republished it in English in recent times.

'For My Legionaries' is also recommended. 'The Nest Leader's Manual' also is excellent.  Another book that is excellent is 'The History of the Legionary Movement' by Horia Sima.

  • Thank you very much, I'd only seen him mentioned in other books & articles on the history of the inter-war years in Europe & so on, & watched some you-tube videos about him. I'll certainly get the books you've listed & read them.
