My son is getting confirmed and a gαy married relative wants to bring his husband to the church for my son's confirmation. He told me they won't participate in the Mass. Is this legit?

Could he not be invited to something social afterwards instead? It seems a weird bit of voyeurism to just watch, not even kneel. A person who does that, sticks out like a sore thumb. Perhaps it might help at conversion, but I'd incline towards a way of saying no nicely.

Yeah, they could theoretically convert. And I could find Spanish treasure after a crevice opens up somewhere on my land during the next drought. And both are about as likely.

Do you really think this couple living in the basest depravity is disposed towards conversion at this time? What gives you any legitimate reason to hope this? Have they been living separately for the past year or something? Asking lots of questions and showing a genuine interest in the Catholic Faith?
I doubt it.
On the contrary, what sodomites do in secret is shameful to even mention. Even the devils are repulsed by their behavior. The devils are happy to destroy a soul with this temptation, but once the unhappy soul gives in and begins committing this foul crime against nature, the devils are forced to look away, as it were, because even though they are fallen and their wills are fixed in evil (against God) for eternity, they still have an angelic nature with God's order built in.

So, why do they want to come to Confirmations?
They want to enter the Church to be recognized as a queer couple. They don't care about your son, it's about them.
If you refuse them, they'll call you a homophobe. If you accept them, they'll mock your Faith.
Your best choice is to diplomatically refuse them, based on their mutual disbelief in the Catholic Faith.

Well duh. But the confirmation must be valid. If the Novus ordo is a different religion and not catholicism, then you were not confirmed in the Catholic church. No difference between that and being confirmed in the episcopal church. Baptism is different. Anyone can do that.

Archbishop Lefebvre recognized the validity of the Novus Ordo and its sacraments. Even Bishop Williamson has said that it is ok to go to the Novus Ordo mass ( I believe that is when there is no TLM available.)
