  • IF you were confirmed originally in the Novus Ordo, have you been conditionally confirmed by a Traditional bishop?
For the purposes of this survey, the desire to be conditionally confirmed would qualify as a "yes" even if you've not yet had the opportunity.

  • Yes, but I consider Confirmation #2 to be my real Confirmation.  #1 was in 1975, featured guitar, bongo drums, liturgical dance performed by two girls and a grown man, clad in leotards.  We had to process out of the church in a conga line, clapping hands to a black gospel version of Faith of Our Fathers.  I knew nothing at all about Catholicism, except that the performance was irreverent and incredibly cheesy.  I went through with it because my mother dropped me off at the church for the four required classes during which we rehearsed the monstrous extravaganza. The script was written by two nuns who wore polyester pants suits.

  • Yes, in the sense of desire, under the following conditions:. I have not studied the matter and I am not sure of the nature of the oils.  I shall write to the priest in question.

There were no 'abuses' in the sense of  deviations from the Novus Ordo rite. The change in form from the true rite seems sufficient to introduce a doubt.

The priest was indubitably a priest (ordained before the Council). I cannot ascertain his intention without writing (again, to be done) nor if he was properly delegated by the Bishop.

  • Yes, by Bishop Fellay about 12 years ago I think. My Novus Ordo possible/doubtful confirmation was about 15+ years before that.

  • Would prefer to be conditionally reconfirmed if the opportunity presented itself.

I find the trad priest orders (and bishop consecrations) to be problematic in their own right though.

Re:SSPX, I understand they've long accepted NO ordinations without a traditional ordination(?). I'd look into it, but I'd guess they at least have their bishops properly/validly consecrated, if not the ordinations of some of their priests...

Re:CMRI I find their orders to be a mess, Thuc line is a coin flip because opponents say Thuc lost his mind, defenders say this is ridiculous, either way, I'm *believing* someone over another person.

    Re:SSPV, I know nothing.

Re:whatever the Resistance calls itself (is it still -MC?) I'd say +Williamson is one bishop I've zero doubts about, but he's one man, in the whole world. By extension Faure is a certain and real bishop to perform a confirmation.
