To avoid giving false witness it should be notes by all that Shuckardt was ousted entirely from the CMRI by BP Pivarunas and others and all remaining priests publically abjures their errors regarding any association with "old catholics."  The CMRI as it exists today is thoroughly Catholic, staunchly Orthodox, and filled with very zealous and holy priests.  Even His Excellency Bp Pivarunas says 3 Masses on Sundaya on a 7 hour circuit.  He also confirms souls all over the world and is a truly missionary pastor of souls.  Shuckardt is deserving of repudiation, but the remaining members are not.  It is debatable whether dissolving the group and forming another may have been a prudent course after the change.

To avoid giving false witness? That just means lying. Who is lying? Or are you talking about "detraction" against the CMRI? Did the CMRI's feelings get hurt? IT'S NOT A PERSON. Not a valid target for the virtue of charity. Only the individual members are.

Australians probably don't make this mistake, as they refer to companies and corporations as PLURAL entities. "Google are coming up with a new phone next year..." Americans have this thing where corporations are an honest-to-goodness person. They even have souls which live on forever in eternity! (just about).


CMRI: There is almost no connection between us and Shuckardt's CMRI. We could have, and should have, just started a new organization. It would be have been just a quick formality, it would have been easy, no big deal. We could do it at any time.

Excellent point. Hmmm... Then why do all of the Resistance organizations have SSPX in their names lol?

The truth is if they changed the name people who don't know but think they do would write and post nasty words against CMRI for changing the name, and all of you know it!

So we live with the past and know that even God Himself picked Judas as one of His.

I meant it in a preemptive way, since the thread is fairly new.  Words flow very freely on this forum and tend to be harsh. I wanted to point out the distinction between CMRI under Shuckhardt's leadership and the current CMRI, so that the harsh words which are likely forthcoming will be not be mistakenly attributed to the wrong people thus giving false witness.  The CMRI, like the SSPX, underwent a "rebranding" of sorts.   Except theirs entailed embracing the truth and repudiating the errors of those previously in charge of the community, so it was rather opposite of the SSPX rebranding.  At any rate, while I may have made the decision to change the name if it had been up to me, I can't honestly say as I am not in the Bishop's shoes... but i merely wanted to draw attention the fact that they underwent a serious public reformation since the scandals presented in this hit piece video.
