  • Swimwear in the 40's was far from modest from the point of view of most posters here.
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

You'd have to go back to before like 1920 to find modest fashions in the USA. Our Lady at Fatima said   "Certain fashions will be introduced
that will offend Our Lord very much” ,  and happened as she said. Just look at newsreels and movies after the 1920's and you'll see immodest clothes some of which people wouldn't even wear today. They had bikinis in the 1940's.

  • The 20s are no good either, 1620s, maybe 1720s, but not 18 or 1920s.

Best to wear a burlap bag over your clothes with eye hole cut-outs and go no deeper into the water then knee high.  :jester:

Haha, very funny. Now, are you going to state your own opinions or just cowardly anonymously mock others without risking critique of your own views?

  •  :heretic:Ye Godly folk, dost thou not knowest that those who swimmeth are possessed of the devil, and must be burned as witches?

Woe to those who encourage such vices!
