  • Where I live there's simple no option to get a proper catechesis for children. The closest thing is the NO.

I need a proper sound place to download or purchase materials to work with my kids.

I have found this blog to be helpful, too:

If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.

  • Shower of Roses has wonderful ideas and resources but be careful they are novus ordo/indultarian and sometimes use novus ordo resources. They also boycotted Holy Simplicity Planner because they found out Ceanne and her family were Sedevacantists.

Why not use the Baltimore Catechism?  Fr. Pfeiffer is having the seminarians commit it to memory.  You can make your own activities and examples from real life.
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • Neumann Press published a lovely catechism series, I use it myself. Just do one section every day or an entire chapter plus activities on Sundays. Keep good books in your home, receive the sacraments when you can, and pray the rosary very day as a family.

I also second having them memorize the Catechism.

  • Our Lady of Victory has a complete program laid out grade by grade. A very good resource of teaching religion. Their Living for God series has teachers guides you can buy or not buy depending on whether you want to follow their lesson plans or just work through the text on your own.

TAN Books has several good Bible History texts. A couple of them go together and would be good for teaching this subject to varied ages. If you'd like to know which ones, I can look and let you know.
