I think it depends on what you mean by "sincerely repent".
I would think that the threat of imminent execution would tend to be productive of at least imperfect contrition. If by "sincerely repent" you mean productive of perfect contrition, it seems impossible to say as a general rule.

I don't understand all this judge/judgemental stuff.
You can judge something that has happened where you have all the facts....you can't judge the future.

This poll is asking you to S P E C U L A T E  on something that could happen in the future.
No one is asking anyone to proclaim dogma, just give your opinion based on logic, common sense and what you know of the teaching of Christ and his church.
