  • Regarding the safety of the B-787, these planes go through many hours of testing in actual
    flight before they are released for the public uses.
    I use to work for Boeing and have witnessed the actual rigorous testing of earlier planes.
    And a very few of these models were lost in crashes.

  • All planes are dangerous to fly.  I doubt the 787 is any more dangerous than any other.

    It's when they stop flying suddenly that they're dangerous.

    I fly a LOT, domestic and international.  I will not fly on a Dreamliner.  Even the NTSB has had major concerns.
    I'm waiting until it passes muster across the board, safety-wise.  If you are concerned, just select another flight.

  • In an MH370 type situation its dangerous to fly, no matter how safe the aircraft may be.
