Title: Bishop Zendejas Confirmation Questions
Post by: Änσnymσus on January 11, 2019, 03:34:45 PM
Does anyone know when Bishop Zendejas does Confirmations?  Is there a schedule of places and dates?

Also, will he do confirmations for someone’s kids that does not attend a Resistance chapel?

I was wondering this, too.  How does he test for Confirmation?

When a Bishop is not available, (who is ordinary) a priest may confirm.

The Bishop does confirmation based on the needs of the families of the parishes, so if there are a couple of children already at the appropriate age for confirmation at a particular parish, then confirmations would be planned. So in your case, try contacting the nearest parish coordinator to let him know you would like information when the next confirmation is scheduled.

I recommend you "attach" yourself to one of the main parishes that is closet to you and get on their e-mail and try to make a trip to one of the Masses, even if it is every other month or three months, depending on your finances.

Main chapels are New York/Connecticut (his Priory and School), Texas (see link below) and Emmett, Kansas (Mass usually every Sunday but at different times)

Here is some info for one of the Texas Missions, but main chapel is in Houston:

There is a little book on confirmation that is standard issue for SSPX, as I understand. It is blue and has a yellow picture if the Holy Ghost on it. Learn that. As one of his former confirmation students back when he was SSPX, I'll tell you that you must ABSOLUTELY MEMORIZE THE SEVEN GIFTS OF THE HOLY GHOST AND THE TWELVE FRUITS.

Also, I recommend everyone listen to a lecture on Confirmation. It is on a CD and published by Lighthouse Catholic Media, I think in conjunction with the Augustin Institute. It is a must, in my opinion. It's called "Confirmation: The Sacrament of Evangelization and Martyrdom" by Dr. Brant Pitre.

Thanks for this information.  Unfortunately, I don’t live even close to Texas.  Does Bp. Zendejas still operate the chapel in Connecticut?  If so, do you know if there is a website with mass time information?  I can’t seem to find it online or on here.

Yes, the Bishop still operates in Connecticut. I will get back to you later with an address to write to.
FYI: Bishop Williamson will be in the USA to do confirmation that week after Easter.

Yes, I have the information now.  I do thank you as well on here for taking the time to find the Connecticut contact info, but another person kindly sent me the information to make direct contact and I have submitted it to the bishop, so I am all set.

That is the company/charity name +Z was using. I dont know if he still does. Now he goes by "Miraculous Medal Inc". That is also the name you need to put into google maps to find his parish around Houston. It may work for his Connecticut location, or maybe that one is SEA Inc. Not entirely sure.
I believe it does have charity status.

Didn't somebody else on this forum have problems getting docuмentation about their daughter's confirmation?
I'm sure they did have problems. But, hey, that could happen anywhere for anyone. I still dont have mine from the SSPX though I've asked for it a couple of times already.

1. It's not for any fundamental reason.
2. You might need some patience, but you WILL eventually get your confirmation certificate, etc.
3. Bp. Zendejas is a busy man. He is serving a lot of souls and doesn't have nearly enough priestly helpers to do the task.

Sapientia Education Association
Sapientia is Latin for "wisdom".

It is the 501.3(c) used for Bp. Zendejas school, church, etc.

You have to pick a name like this, and yes it's going to have "Inc." as part of the deal. It's fundamental to starting a 501.3(c) charitable not for profit organization.

No, it doesn't mean he's a corporation, mercenary, lives and breathes money, or any of that nonsense. It means he's prudent, well-grounded, and thinking of the good of his flock:

The Traditional Catholic faithful usually aren't millionaires, and the tax burden weighs quite heavily on some families. The ability to deduct one's tithes and charitable donations from their taxes is quite important for some, and is quite legitimate and understandable.

I'll tell you what: setting up a charitable organization is not "fun" like flying all over the country and saying Mass for different groups. It's more like tedious homework. I applaud Bp. Z for taking the trouble to set up infrastructure like this. It's important for growth, the good of the flock, etc.

Bp. Z is a good administrator and pastor; his prudence and diligence (among other virtues) is why he makes a good bishop.

Could someone please help me find someone's post with something like a picture of the Confirmation test from their chapel? I've been looking for it for more than two hours!
