  • CathInfo always seems to have a bad vibe.  It's as if people switch into crabby mode whenever they log into the forum.

Let's all try to be nicer to each other.

  • But, Holy Father, did or did not that crucified body rise alive from that material tomb? If it did not, stop believing that it did, stop even pretending to believe that it did, and resign from being the Pope of delusional Catholics. But if it did rise from the tomb, then THAT is what you must proclaim to poor modern man, and you must – pardon my language – cast his disbelief in his teeth. Modern man does not need to be told about luv, luv, luv. He hears it all day long! He does need to hear that only Our Lord truly risen could have both stopped his implacable enemies in their tracks and turned his totally dispirited Apostles into world-conquerors.

Is this intended to justify needless bickering and nitpicking between traditional Catholics?

  • Indeed.  If you can find some nefarious plot in a suggestion that the members of this forum should be a little nicer to each other, I guess you can find one anywhere.
Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir

Fascinating. That's what you get for posting in the Anonymous area using you ID. Two thumbs down! Looks like you have a stalker, Sigismund!

    Some just don't like liberals.

Some just automatically considers anyone who doesn't agree with them as liberals.

The post deserves to be thumbed down. First of all, he clearly enough intended to be patronising. (As an aside, being patronising is not very nice.) Second, the quotation contained no mention nor suggestion of a "nefarious plot". It's as if Sigismund has begun to see conspiracy theories where there are none, which is deliciously ironic.

If it looks like a liberal, smells like a liberal, and tastes like a liberal...

Okay.  How about "Anyone who sees a problem with a suggestions that Catholics ought to treat each other decently should really relax and say a rosary or two"

I don't think encouraging kindness is liberal specifically.

I wasn't being patronizing.  I was being sarcastic.  I have my faults too.  In spades.
