Nothing will disabuse them of their notion that they have the laity bamboozled and are in control as empty collection plates.  Since they have broken their promise of "no deal until the doctrinal matters are resolved," all building fund pledges should immediately become "non-performing."

Scouting around after Mass yesterday I was pleased—and very surprised—to hear that many of our parishioners have already closed their wallets and purses to all but the basic maintenance of the priests themselves.
