The whole idea of “teenage years” is a modern phenomenon. Men younger than him fought in wars. He’s certainly old enough to make his own decisions.
And now we hear from a 21 year old.  Please try to keep up.

We are not talking about him making his own decisions for himself...we are talking about him making decisions for a helpless child that he thinks he's qualified to adapt regardless of his age and. according to him, not so stellar upbringing.

It's is LITERALLY impossible to afford rent for most people on a single income. So unless I marry a women who wants to work full time it's just not going to happen. When rent is 70+% of your weekly income it just doesn't work.
For men that means pushing out their expectations of WHEN they will get married.
Stop believing your boomer parents that you have to get married before 30.
That's literally the feminine way of thinking. The feminine timeline.

Actually, porn use for men (especially those who have been addicted to it) can be just as detrimental.  Some men become impotent in attempting the marital act with their wives because of past or current porn use.  And this won’t be found out until after marriage.  That’s why it should be disclosed beforehand.  So yes, many men in today’s society are broken too.

It is only really the case for some perverse individuals.
And nobody is saying there are NO broken men.
Just that women are far more broken than men.

Would you say men are more defeated and hopeless?  Serious question. :cowboy:

I won't adopt tomorrow or in the next two years. 5-7 years from now likely. I need to find where I want to base my life permanently and move there first.

Less than stellar upbringing has nothing to do with how I treat kids. I treat them how I would've liked to be treated as a kid. Since I'm closer to child age than middle age you'd think I'd be better at that. From experience  I am.

Also, if I need help with a serious decision regarding a child, why don't I ask other parents? I'm good friends with many parents of children older than me.

There's no growth with lack of trying.
