The biggest change that has happened with the SSPX is their views on Sacramental theology. Abp. Lefebvre said in 1988 that all of the Sacraments coming out of the modern bishops and priests were doubtful (PM if you really need proof, because I have it). Nowadays, the SSPX thinks they're all valid. Furthermore, they think that probable validity for Protestant baptisms is good enough, despite the fact that a Pope condemned that proposition. https://sspx.org/en/must-priests-who-come-tradition-be-re-ordained-30479. For some reason this article is still up. The SSPX doesn't enforce modesty guidelines as much as they used to, and they will usually give Communion to immodestly dressed women, despite the pre-v2 Church saying no (again, I do indeed have proof of this as well). Furthermore, they don't care much about vetting newcomers like the SSPV (for example) does. A man could be an FBI agent infiltrator, or have been married again after receiving a dubious NO annulment, or have had an invalid baptism, or barely even know his own Faith, or all sorts of things. But the SSPX will usually give Communion to all kinds of strangers and newcomers. Are you someone who's totally Novus Ordo? Doesn't matter, you can receive our Sacraments. There is also a significant number of SSPX priests, especially in Europe, who believe that the NO Mass is licit if said according to the rubrics. (I did not use the word valid here; I used the word licit.) PM me if you want some resources about Bp. Zendejas describing how utterly pitiful the current state of the Society is. They are knee-deep in a Novus Ordo swamp, as Twice Dyed once put it. The Society is totally and utterly compromised; you cannot trust them for theological questions.
I believe that the SSPX are material heretics for these reasons, and that one should avoid them unless they have no better options.
