  • I've been working from home for over 2 years and hope I never have to get a real job and go out and work in that world ever again.

One thing about working from home is - you never leave work - but I guess that more or less depends on the type of business.

I do not miss working among the heathen trench mouths, idiot bosses, stupid office politics, and etc. one bit.

  • Are you looking for a job or just suggestions as to what to do.

If suggestions then I can suggest a data gathering, cleaning and repairing expert for sales, marketing contact data.

Millions of US companies sell to businesses and need their marketing data fixed, updated, added too, phone numbers found etc.  if you contract you can charge a lot of money for this and if you can corner a particular niche like the on-line gambling industry or the clinical testing sector, for example, and get clients from all of the suppliers wanting to sell to them you can horsetrade the data between various parties and sell it multiple times over, which is pure profit.

Most of the data lists sold to firms are utter rubbish.  If you can provide a list that is 90 percent accurate rather than 40 percent accurate it is worth a lot more than double the price to the buyer.  Senior marketing people are the people who buy this contact data and your skills to repair it and they need it accurate so that they get the best bang for the buck from their campaigns. They have to answer to the CEO as to where their million dollar marketing budget went and if they are emailing people who have left they are wasting valuable time and money.

You can find out a heck of a lot of information using Google, LinkedIn and other free tools and do it all sitting on your butt anywhere with a broadband Internet connection.

People are constantly moving jobs and within 3 years the data is more than 50 percent out of date so it is a constant need by companies.

  • Bookkeeping is another thing.

Loads of small business owners want to just give their receipts and expenses to someone organised and intelligent who will enter them into an accounting package and sort the paper receipts and file them.  The much more expensive accountant then gets accurate electronic records and his services are cheaper as a result.

You can charge around 200-300 dollars per day for this and many entrepreneurs will happily pay 500-1000 per year just to avoid the hassle of typing it in themselves.

    It's pretty dull work though.

  • Ebay and online selling can be an option. Find a niche to resell and find value in things. Or produce something on your own. Niche is key, doing anything and everything is waste.

Anything that pays at least minimum wage.
