Why I am voting for Obama

Mon 5 Nov 2012 by abagond

In 2008 I voted for Obama. In 2012 I am voting for Obama to vote against Romney and the Republicans:

Romney is a shameless liar. On top of that he will not make more than two years of his tax returns public. If he wins it will set the bar for president to a new low. As president he would be dangerous: I would not even buy a used car from him – why on earth would I trust the whole country to him?
        Romney has no character:
He puts his money in banks overseas to avoid paying taxes, making the rest of us pay his fair share.
He lived in a mansion in France during the Vietnam War, letting others fight and die for his country.
He will say anything to get elected, meaning he stands for nothing and thinks the ends justify the means.
Republicans do not care about America: During the debt ceiling crisis the Republicans knowingly did harm to the country’s credit rating in order to make Obama a one-term president. People like that should not even be in Congress.
Voter suppression – the war on democracy: Republicans are trying to stop people from voting – voter ID laws, limiting early voting, putting up frightening billboards, etc. They cannot be trusted to make our laws or appoint judges to the Supreme Court. People have fought too long and too hard for the right to vote.
I am not happy with Obama but Romney would be worse: In most of the ways that Obama is bad – drones, Guantanamo, doing little about the War on Drugs, the apparent crackdown on the Occupy movement, assassinating American citizens, support for Israel, etc – Romney would be the same or worse. Obama these past four years has been way more like Bush than I would have liked, but Romney, with all his former Bush advisers, would be worse.
Even where I think I agree with Romney it is hard to tell: I am against Obama on things like abortion and same-sex marriage – but Romney’s back-and-forth positions on these things reads like an Onion article. Because deep down he stands for nothing but becoming president.
I want to help Obama win the popular vote: I live in the blue north-east which Obama is expected to carry. But he could win the electoral college vote and lose the popular vote – something we would never hear the end of.
Romney is only for rich white people. Certainly not for blacks and Latinos – or even most white people.

    There are four choices:

        Vote for Obama,
        Vote for Romney,
        Vote third party or
        Not vote at all.

The voter suppression stuff makes it clear that voting matters, that not voting at all is in effect voting Republican.

Since my aim is to stop Romney and the Republicans, voting third party will not be as good as voting for Obama and other Democrats, the only ones who have a chance of stopping them.

  • I am proud to say that I was among the 40% of registered voters
    that did not vote.
At lease on judgment day I will not made to be accountable of
voting in what I perceived to be the lesser of two evils.

  • The republicans are nothing to write home about....

...that being said, the Catholic black guy is just a bigot.

There are so many lies swirling around Obama it would take hundreds of pages to analyze all of them.

However, let's not forget that Romney has said in the past that he is pro-choice.

  • If Romney won, in his acceptance speech, he would have said that he
supported and will enforced everything that Obama got pass in Congress,
and his Executive Orders. And, the Republicans would have gone along
    with it.
Proof, what Republican President reversed any program offered by the
Democrats, not one. They even expanded and added on unto them.
So Mr. Anonymous, it would have been if you have joined me along with
the 40% in abstaining from voting.

  • It was the majority of novus ordo catholics who voted for obama.  Especially. Catholic women who vote for their women rights such as pro choice, contraceptions, etc.

What this guy didn't know that a vote for obama aas a vote for Satan.  Above all,   president obama was the only president to try to do away with national prayer.  Obama falsely presents himself as poor african american which was never the case.    Also, both obama and romeny has ties to Goldman and Sach's whose previous ceo the former governor of New Jersey Jon Corzine who misplaced million of dollars...

Many lost their souls when they voted for obama because Obama and his supporters tried to remove God from their platform and even booed when God was reluctantly reinstated. To deny God is a mortal sin.

It is the Social Kingship of Jesus Christ.

  • In what reality is a vote for Obama any more or less of a vote for Satan than a vote for Romney?
For those who I have unjustly offended, please forgive me. Please disregard my posts where I lacked charity and you will see that I am actually a very nice person. Disregard my opinions on "NFP", "Baptism of Desire/Blood" and the changes made to the sacra

  • There is no difference between republicans and democrats.  They are really one party and they are pushing for one world government, on religion, one bank.

It was vatican II Jesuits that started Obama's career.  It was vatican II catholics who put him in the first time and this time along with clergy donating money, and openly preaching from the pulpits.  It is sad when catholic priest promotes obama on bumper sticker and yet there is no other bumper sticker even "pray the Rosary.  They are liberal socialists and are very secular.

How can we take the sspx negotiations when the Pope isn't even respected by his own.  Rome fails to expell Cardinal Dolan and others no instead Dolan is promtoed after denying Christ whne he was bishop and went along with the religious ban during the ten year anniversary september 11th memorial which was watched by the whole world.  He openly supported president Obama with invitation to dinner while declining to meet with Pro life leader and catholic.  Dolan remains silent with same sex marriage in his own state and now Maryland and even send obama a congratulations letter.

Yes, the enemies of obama will be punished while Cardinal Dolan , Governor NJ Chris Christie, and even the Catholic Supreme court justice who also was catholic and republican gave the final approval which went against God.

Definitely moreso.  People who vote for Romney may be misguided, but they believe they are voting against abortion.  A vote for Obama is a vote for abortion, atheism (the attempt to impose the immoral mandates) and Marxism.

You are right a vote,  a vote for any of them is a vote for satan

Both parties are enemies of God.

Dealings with Rome is like making deals with the devil.

  • But we must take action or we are going to lose our souls.

Penal Laws might be making a comeback...

  • Also, it wasn't just african american catholic who voted for obama, it was catholic women who support women's issues like prochoice and lies of women's rights.. And alos it was a big majority of vatican II catholics and clergy like dolan and governor of NJ, Christie, and many lukewarm  vatican Ii catholics.

Why bother to vote anymore it is fixed anyway...  6  million dollars that were blown between the two campaigns tht could have been used to pay off debt to communist country.
