If a young woman is strong in her faith, and wants to become a teacher or nurse, what exactly is wrong with her learning a skill or trade in college? Twice during our long marriage, my husband has lost his employment. Times were lean (as in no Christmas gifts for the children) but we got by because I had a marketable skill and we were able to eat and pay our bills until he got back on his feet.
It is very important for everyone to learn a skill. Yes even for women. College is a cesspool and way overpriced.
Marketable skills without going to college?

Well there's little sense in a career, since in most cases the single woman is only single until she marries a (working) husband. What's uniquely wrong with working at a grocery store or a restaurant until then? Not very lucrative but enough for a single person to support themselves in the meantime.
Most women have more competency than working in a grocery store.

She could start her own small business, but would need a substantial sum of money to get started and if she’s going to actually make a living, she’ll need business aptitude.
If a woman does not marry or have a religious vocation?  If she needs to support herself?  Interested in people’s suggestions other than running a business. If teaching and healthcare are out because of the jab, and no college?

Not based on the infighting that's been going on around here lately :clown:
