The Democratic party has a little problem. Their would-be "white gay Obama", Pete Buttigieg, can't get black people to vote for him. They have an issue, and with good reason, with electing an openly practicing gay man who is "married" to another man.
This is kind of strange. The Democrats tend to "all stick together" and make one another's grievances and interests their own --- abortion "rights", various minorities and their grievances as being "oppressed" people, women's rights, welfare recipients, and so on. Could this be an indication that the Democratic "glue" isn't as strong as they would have you think?
And if black people are supposed to be so "socially conservative", why then do they vote for pro-abortion Democrats?
And what are they going to do if Buttigieg becomes the Democratic nominee? Vote for Trump? (Though he, too, supports gay marriage, he is obviously not gay --- furthest thing in the world from it! --- and he is very supportive of black people, always has been. People generally don't accuse Trump of being prejudiced against blacks.)
