  • What sort of advise would you give to a person who has been sɛҳuąƖly assaulted  by a priest?

Any help you can offer is appreciated.

  • IF it was not a traditional priest, then go to a traditional priest.  I knew of one.  Victims went to him, traditional.  He kept a little black book, as he told me, of names of the assaulters.  He did give advise.  Say 3 rosaries a day.  Receive the sacraments ( true sacraments which have the powers of the Precious Blood) often.

  • i.e. "Immediately immerse yourself in traumatic associations."

From what I know of these things, even if it has been "a long time", it's not something that "just goes away."

Even if this person thinks that they are comfortable with speaking with another priest(?), feelings and trauma should be prepped for in advance. The echoes have a way of ambushing someone, and that is trauma in general.

Example: it's a bit of a wake up when you find yourself front sighting kids lighting fireworks.

    Not fun, and not expected.

What if that priest(?) is a predator as well?

    With sympathies:
    1. Prayer
    2. Seek other faithful who've "been there".

Thanks for finding a legitimate use for the "anon" section.

  • Do not even trust bishops, who can be enablers.

I know because I am also a victim. The bishop did not believe me either.

Above all, doo not trust Bishop Tom. Last name not mentioned on purpose because he will sue.

I would presume by the way that post was written that the person no longer has contact with this priest or may even be dead, considering in the post it is said "I knew a priest who..." meaning that was in the past. Hopefully the poster can clarify.
Many people say "For the Honor and Glory of God!" but, what they should say is "For the Love, Glory and Honor of God". - Fr. Paul of Moll

  • I knew of this priest:  Yes, it is true that he died.  But if you can give your area, we, of this forum, may be able to refer you to who we fell can be trusted.  I we will keep you in prayer.
