Accessory

Have a question I need answering that wasn't covered in my original catechesis. Read that there are nine ways to be an accessory to another's sin and it got me wondering about some conversations I've had with a family member.

They're one of those weird protestant groups that don't believe in the Trinity, and I've been trying to talk about the Catholic faith and the church crisis with them. Also tend to have a habit of prompting these disputes.

Usually ends when they either deny the Trinity or I hear some blasphemy and I basically say their belief system is wrong and in error. Question is am I an accessory? One that comes to mind is maybe provocation?

If you provoke them for the sole purpose of in make them angry or to blaspheme, then yes.

Otherwise, you aren't responsible for their words or actions.

Might be better to avoid these conversations altogether if you know the outcome.  "Shake the dust" off your feet, so to speak.

Schedule a talk with your Priests to get his council.
