The Traditionalists have no where else to go, that disrespectful lady can go to any parish in the diocese if she does not want to cover.

And I will tell the OP this, he was not the only person to notice or be offended.

Were you there? How do you know the lady was disrespectful and not totally innocent?

So, don't be INSOLENT toward others for pointing out this woman's really uncalled for affront to Our Lord.

How come you know the Mind of God and that He was affronted? He may have been overjoyed to have her company. He never was uppity with anyone who approached him.

Actually, Jesus made a whip and used it at the temple. Chased out those who offended His Father's house.

    Jesus has high standards.

Sure.  And how did He respond to the woman who washed His feet with her tears?
Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir

But he never chased any lady with an uncovered head. What about that woman in Luke 7:38? Was her head covered?
    Quote
And standing behind at his feet, she began to wash his feet, with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

You would have chased her, no doubt, but Jesus did not.

    Nadir,

Ah, you beat me to it.

Jesus would have chased her out of the temple. Remember Jesus's response to that woman was because she repented, not because she dissed God in the temple.

It must be nice to see the mind of God so clearly.  What else is it like on your planet?

There are baskets with extra mantillas (veils).

And this INSOLENT woman did know enough to cover her head when going to communion.

So, don't be INSOLENT toward others for pointing out this woman's really uncalled for affront to Our Lord.

    What a breathtakingly obnoxious post.

Insolent?  She may simply have been ignorant.  She may never have been to a traditional Mass before.  She may have been trying to do the best she could, even if she made some mistakes according to the lights of the trad police.  Are you willfully ignorant of the concept of the principle of charity?  Are you aware that applying it is not optional for Catholics?

And if you are concerned about an affront to Or Lord, you might consider responding more lie He did when it happens.

If any trads on this forum sometimes wonder why the rest of us out there think there is a lack of common sense and charity in your midst, just read this thread.  The reason could not be clearer.

    More insolence!

So this Sunday I went to Mass and a pretty young girl sat next to me. She was wearing pants and a scarf around her neck, but no head covering. She was the only woman at Mass without her head covered. When it was time to go to communion I was hoping she wouldn't go to communion like that. But she gets up to go to communion and then she takes her scarf and covers her head and goes to communion. As soon as she comes back from communion she takes the scarf off of her head and for the rest of the Mass her head remains uncovered.

Did you ask her to lunch?

He did not because he does not want to get involved with this kind of woman.  Trads are not looking for an easy hook up but rather marriage and children - lots!

If insolence means disagreeing with you and advocating treating people according to the principle of charity, then guilty as charged and proud of it.   :boxer:

Not that, but that you seem to not care about showing reverence to the Blessed Sacrament.

I hope that isn't the case and that you merely wanted to disagree with me.  Disagreeing with me may just be an error of judgement but the Blessed Sacrament is to be revered and loved because it is of the stuff in which our salvation revolves.

    Are you a malignant narcissist?

And the Blessed Sacrament is not to be revered and loved because “it is of the stuff in which our salvation revolves”.

The Blessed Sacrament is to be revered and loved with all our hearts because it is truly Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

You might be able to convert this pretty young woman to be a hard line resistance member.

  • No one with any sense would conclude that I advocated disrespect to the Blessed Sacrament in any way.  It assumes facts not in evidence that the woman described in the OP intended any disrespect.  If she did, and you know this, state your evidence.  If not, I am just suggestion that you not assume malice on her part when there is no evidence of malice.  And I am also suggesting that Catholics or any decent person has an obligation morally to do that.

Hey, wait a minute! Assuming facts not in evidence is what 90 percent of all CI comments do. Are you trying to destroy this site?!?!?
