  • they never bring up "entitlements"

and some in the conservative media bring it up only when they want a scapegoat for the out of whack national Debt

some entitlements should be cut: food stamps

but not all entitlements are useless or wasteful or fill in the blanks bad. There need to be changes IMO but it's rather tiresome to hear filthy rich politicians talk about cutting programs that "benefit" or at least deal with the poor, while certain "programs," agencies, bureaucracies  etc.. that benefit the wealthy are kept in place

    i know
but sometimes u have to wonder
    WHY
do they want to be re-elected?
it seems to me that those kinds of jobs would be stressful.. unless u are a narcissist who always loves being in the spotlight, stress or not.. ?
I guess my lack of desire to be a politician proves I am not a narcissist, if nothing else does  :)

  • If they only gave benefits of any kind (foodstamps, housing, medicaid, etc) to legal citizens, we could afford to raise the standards for our seniors and disabled veterans.

i still have a hard time believing illegals are given benefits!
I don't think the states i have lived in are doing that? maybe the east coast? west coast? and how do they get away with that? Is that just another way in which they defy the federal govt (the other way being sanctuary cities)?

  • Those jobs also pay very well with benefits very seldom found in the private sector. Hermon Talmadge said that when he went to events he had to wear a trench coat and people forced him to accept large sums of cash against his will.

Herman Talmadge was a longtime senator from Georgia. His seat was secure until his wife divorced him and brought up the unexplained large sums of cash on hand. Old Heron's explanation was that unknown people forced him to take the cash. When I think about this I have to laugh

  • I know one thing:

the poor suffer far more than anyone realizes

if a poor person were as outspoken as Trump? that person would be persecuted unmercifully

if you have a big mouth (as it were) you better have a big wallet and bank acct 2 go w/ it
