880 migrants died crossing the Mediterranean last week. 1 gorilla in a zoo died last week. The latter is headline news. The latter is all over my newsfeed. Why? Why have you become numb to 880 people dying like it's nothing?

Sure, it's tragic, but those people got on a boat of their own accord. They were hoping for free money and benefits from the various European nations. And they died breaking the law. They are called illegal immigrants breaking the law, not migrants. Migrants makes them sound too innocent.

If a flotilla of 800 invaders drowned on the way to invade your country, would you feel sorry for them? That's basically what these people were.

I agree. If some of them have an education and are willing to learn the language, get a legal visa and for crying out loud, assimilate, fine. But that would be a select, highly qualified few. I'm talking per annum, less than 20. Medical professionals, academics, programmers, nurses, teachers, etc.

The general consensus seems to be that there's far too many. Once the situation is resolved in their countries, they should go home and rebuild it.

Many of the liberal, European governments (ultimately, the YEW KNOW WHOO's) actually placed ads in those countries and made those promises official and explicit, leaving nothing to the imagination.

Still, they were greedy, and nobody forced them to go.

Did you know that in Sweden, the government is kicking out owners of their
homes and giving the homes to the migrants property tax free.
This one of the promises that the criminal European governments is
promising to the migrants that they come to Europe and get a free home.
The average European does not know this since social media is
heavily censored.

I agree that the 880 should have been bigger news. That event saved exponentially more people from being robbed, raped, and murdered than shooting that poor gorilla did.

Swedish Government Kicks Local Family Out of Home, Gives it to Muslim Migrants

A local family in the Swedish city of Lidingö has been ordered by the government to leave their home so that it can be given to migrants arriving from a foreign country.

Father of two teenage boys Uffe Rustan received a voicemail from his local municipality telling him he would need to vacate the property by August in order to make way for asylum seekers from the Middle East.

“I was evicted from my home over the phone. When I asked for the reason, he said that people come from other countries. He left the news and basically just said have a nice weekend,” Rustan told a newspaper.

Nothing about monetary compensation for taking the home from the rightful owner by the government.

I assume the media wants to hide the number of migrants entering Europe. The real issue is why so Muslims are migrating to non-Islamic countries when there are so many Islamic countries with the capability of taking in the refugees. Certainly other Islamic countries understand Muslims better than Europeans. Saudi Arabia has 100,000 air-conditioned tents sitting empty.

I read something about exactly why the Gulf states (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, UAE et al) won't take them, but yeah, they refuse to take a single one despite them having more than enough resources and capital to take them in.

Those immigrants that you are describing would never try to cross the Mediterranean on a raft. They would get a tourist visa and enter by plane.
