  • Does anyone know who said Mass at Boston, KY this past Sunday 4/12?  Was it Fr. Joseph Pfeiffer?

Who else would it have been?

  • Does anyone know for sure if there was a Mass in Boston, KY on 4/12?  I ask because it is not clear to me whether there always is.  With all the travel the 2 Boston, KY priests do, I'm not sure there is always a priest staying in Boston, KY to offer Mass.

If anyone who lives near there could confirm whether there is weekly Sunday Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Boston, KY, that would be interesting.

In answer to the question "who else would it have been?", if there was one, it could easily have been Fr. Hewko as well.  I know he said Mass in Syracuse, but that doesn't mean he couldn't have offered it in Boston that day as well.

  • I'm not sure about Boston, but I saw Fr. Hewko in Syracuse for 10 AM Mass. He was then scheduled to be in Nicholville, N.Y. for Mass at 6:30PM, so it is unlikely he said Mass in Kentucky on Sunday...

  • Ok, I'll chime in.

Fr. Voigt, who has a room there in Boston, KY, was in Dallas in the A.M. and near San Antonio from 2:30 PM - 5:45 PM on April 12th.

Dallas and my chapel are 4 to 4 1/2 hours apart.

    Source: My own eyewitness testimony.

Conclusion: You can scratch Fr. Voigt off your possibilities for Masses in Boston, KY on April 12 -- unless Fr. Voigt can bi-locate :)

  • The above 2 posts certainly narrow it down to Fr. Pfeiffer being the only likely possibility.  But I've had the impression for a long time that there is no guaranteed weekly Sunday Mass in Boston, KY.  With all the travel the priests do, I don't see how it would be possible.  Unless someone from there can tell us otherwise, I will assume that is the case.

They should seek help from the Dominicans of Avrille for the US circuit and for the seminary.
