How did his personality change?
I like late Beatles more than early Beatles. |
I prefer early Beatles. The v2 'church' is on record as partial to the Beatles beg w/ Revolver-- it figures. |
I like McCartney's late-60's pop stuff more than anything else. Like Penny Lane, Yesterday, Fool on the Hill, Long and Winding Road. My favorite Lennon songs are probably If I Fell, In My Life, and Nowhere Man. That list the Vatican put out is ridiculous.

I'm not much of an audiophile. I listen mainly to mp3's, and my ears can't tell the difference with anything above 128kb/s. I have heard the mono version of Sgt. Pepper from the mono box set and liked it but don't really prefer stereo or mono. It all sounds good to me.

Do you think your preference for early Beatles is due to nostalgia (assuming you grew up in the early-60's) or because you think it's objectively better music than their later stuff? I think they produced great music throughout their career, but their albums became stronger from Rubber Soul onward.

It is just about as easy to be nostalgic for 1965 as it is for 1966.
