This thread is dedicated to stories about our favorite priests we know today.  All of us know a priest that has changed our life by his example and counsel.  Do you have a story to share? :incense:

My favorite priest is, of course, Bishop Mark. I like the stories about how he digs in when there's work to be done. Like climbing the scaffold to build the church and washing dishes after a big church meal. Also his hunting to feed the boarders, etc.

Waiting for your story Emerentiana, mine favorite would have to be Father Denis, after all his message woke me up, and gave me all the pieces of the puzzle.

I can still see his smile and rosy cheeks.

I think it's Fr. Saa. His sincerity in helping me about my life is what I like most.

Of course, he also got sanctity. But then again, most priests I come in contact with have one as well.

Father Wright. He's somewhat of a Rennaissance man, so along with enormous spiritual help, he's also taught me practical things. He's kind of my mentor whom I could ask for almost anything.

In regards to being a responsible man, would it be interesting to learn, after six years of accumulating all the wisdom you could, that you had it right all along when you were 8, and that to be the most responsible of men, one must be the most light-hearted and care-free of boys?
I look at the complexity of the world, and yet see that God is but a Divine Child with simple motives, in that he creates all of this, from atoms to the most complex biological organisms, just because he wants us as his friends.

Emerentiana, we're still waiting on your story(s). In the meantime I remembered one His Excellency told on himself. He had just enough time to say Mass between flights and somehow that led to him going through the airport fully vested. He got some attention that way.

There seems to be  an idea today amoung trad Catholics that priests are just sacrament dispensing machines.  Go to mass and leave!  Just hang on to what you have. :incense:
I guess it comes from the distrust of the clergy, because of so much scandal and betrayals.  I have lots of stories to tell about priests who are FRIENDS.  They are courageous priests, who do more for the faithful than just say mass and sequester away from the faithful after mass.  I will tell some stories later.
Dont any of you here recall good moments with the clergy?  Dont any of you here have a priest friend thats been to your house for dinner, or has counseled you in a crisis in your life, or has gone an extra mile for you and your family?
