Do you agree with the statement below or do you think the Mark of the Beast is something that will be implanted or tattooed on a person?
"The Mark of the Beast is symbolic language (the Book of Revelation is all symbolic language). It refers to those people who reject God and rather worship a false god. In the first century the problem was Emperor worship, which is what the passage is talking about directly. Today, the equivalent of the Emperor worship of the first century would be militant atheism in the form of atheistic secularism or of dialectic materialism. The "beast" may be the regimes (nations) who espouse that militant atheism."

Imo, the true mark (and not a mere prefiguring thereof), will be physical - literally a mark by which you will be known as a subject of the beast.
